POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications and Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing the strategic communications and marketing initiatives. Under the direction of the Vice President of Communications and Membership, the incumbent will beneficially promote CSWE’s brand, products, and services.
The Communications and Marketing Manager will serve as the communications specialist working with CSWE divisions to create and distribute engaging content, manage digital platforms, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. The incumbent will handle various administrative, communications, and marketing tasks and projects and will help implement communications strategies and plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with all divisions to set and meet communications and marketing benchmarks and goals; implement communications and marketing plans while aligning with deliverables established with other teams.
Implement internal communication strategies that support effective use of cross-organizational communication; manage content management systems (e.g., Trello, Asana, Hootsuite, etc.).
Contribute to the development of CSWE’s annual strategic communications plans; coordinate with internal and external partners for effective implementation and execution.
Collaborate with the VP of Communications and Membership with communication correspondence both internally and externally; provide guidance to executive leadership on concise messaging.
Develop, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and events, to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Curate and generate content for platforms including external sourcing, copywriting, visual media, as well as email content, infographics, image libraries, and news items; copyedit all CSWE materials, web content, etc.
Develop engaging digital media content; manage social media platforms, ensuring consistent engagement and audience growth.
Manage content partnership and revenue stream with the newsletter (CSWE Compass) and CSWE Career Center partners.
Manage the process of content approval by using judgment to determine how content should be flagged for executive review or awareness; lead the review of the content to ensure messaging aligns with the messenger.
Spearhead a storytelling-driven content strategy that weaves together CSWE’s work with personal stories of impact; content should include written material, video, and graphics and will be incorporated into website, email, and social media communications.
Maintain communication with our audience on CSWE’s online community, Spark.
Coordinate the production and distribution of videos, graphic elements, brochures, fact sheets, and logos.
Manage all external design and multimedia partner relationships, including external designers, photographers, and videographers.
Ensure brand messaging is consistent across all communication platforms; ensure branding is consistent across all marketing materials.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency with communications and marketing content and correspondence.
Respond to all general inquiries concerning communications and marketing efficiently.
Manage and oversee the Communications and Marketing Assistant; communicate assigned duties effectively and serve as a thought partner to ensure success.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
Five (5+) years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field with proven ability to execute effective communications initiatives is required.
Management and supervisory experience is required.
Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
Excellent and effective editorial skills are required.
Proven query, analytical, and report writing skills experience is required.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness of work completion.
Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the ability to strategically schedule and coordinate campaigns, communications, and projects.
Proficiency with digital media platforms such as project management platforms, content management systems, customer relations management systems, social media management platforms, digital asset management, marketing automation, digital community management, or similar is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Experience using copy layout tools (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Canva) is preferred.
Experience with graphic design is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once, maintaining timelines, and meeting deadlines.
Proven ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
Ability to travel 1-2 times per year.

COMPENSATION
• The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience ( $80,000 annually ).

ADA SPECIFICATIONS
This position is primarily sedentary and is performed in an office setting. The physical demands of this position are limited to the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and bend, stoop, and carry materials.
