Public Relations Account Supervisor – Sports PR (Remote)
LOCATION: Our Sports PR department is in our NY, NY global HQ. We are seeking qualified current USA based applicants for this remote work full-time position. (If you prefer to work onsite in our NY, NY Office, it can be arranged.)
We seek a Sports Public Relations professional with 5 years of prior PR agency-based work history delighting their Women’s Sports PR clients with outstanding quality PR campaigns and strategies. In our Account Supervisor role, you will work with exciting clients including professional sports leagues and associations, professional athletes, and active outdoor and fitness brands. You will utilize your years of women’s sports focused public relations agency work experience, your passion for the sports industry, and your creative approaches, collaborative spirit, and hard work to deliver dynamic PR strategy and program execution to our clients. A proven record of leading – coaching - mentoring your PR teammates, creating inspiring PR strategies/campaigns, and delivering excellent media results for our clients is key. This role reports to and collaborates with our Sports PR practice’s senior leadership.

If you choose to work in-office in our NYC Global HQ, you will be working in a gorgeous office building conveniently located near West 53rd St. in Manhattan, just steps from train/bus/subway stations, great restaurants, and Central Park.

Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of integrated and successful women’s sports and sports public relations campaigns/programs that exceed client goals
Maintain clear and consistent communications; provide proper direction and counsel; and offer problem-solving solutions to clients
Develop and grow senior client relationships
Deliver outstanding earned media results daily.
Supervise and lead internal PR teams and staff to drive their professional growth; provide proper feedback and guidance; motivate our Sports PR staff members to be creative and achieve excellent results
Review and develop press materials, including but not limited to press releases, media advisories, key messages, Q&As, and executive remarks
Develop overall communications media strategy for clients; manage profitability and financial aspects of accounts
Utilize excellent contacts to secure consistent media coverage across a wide range of consumer, sports, business, lifestyle, and news publications
Establish new media contacts to expand reach across print, online, TV, social, radio and podcasts
Generate new Sports PR business opportunities and help secure new clients; research, and participate in new business presentations; develop RFPs that showcase our unique capabilities and proven results
Qualifications:
5+ years of prior Women’s Sports Public Relations progressive work history in a PR agency setting
Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, communications or related field
Proven history of leading team and driving results
Exceptional media relations with many top-tier national and trade outlets; proven history of media placements and established contacts
Ability to develop and execute successful media relations programs
Excellent writing and editing skills (familiar with AP style).
Strong communications skills, project management capabilities and proven problem-solving ability
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadline
Effectively work as part of a team, share information freely and support the common goals of the group. A true team player.
Detail-oriented, organized, hardworking, flexible, thorough.

Anticipated Salary: $75k to $95k. Commensurate with experience and depending upon workplace.
