A national grocer is seeking a contractor for a 12-month+ engagement to support the Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehouse division with a product-centric project to implement and enhance a new Transportation Management System (TMS). The Product Designer will play a crucial role in driving the integration and enhancement of new capabilities within the TMS system, ensuring the seamless operation of the logistics and supply chain functions.Responsibilities:Lead the initial concept and design of the TMS product, ensuring alignment with project goals and user needs.Drive the integration and enhancement of new capabilities within the TMS.Conduct hands-on service design in a multi-product ecosystem.Perform journey mapping and service blueprinting to visualize user experiences and service interactions.Collaborate with stakeholders to lead the decision-making process on whether to buy or build components of the TMS.Utilize a data-heavy mindset to inform design decisions and improvements.Required Skills and Experience:7-10+ years of experience as a Product Designer.Proven experience in service design within a multi-product ecosystem.Strong portfolio showcasing work samples in journey mapping and service blueprinting.Experience in the Logistics/Warehouse/Supply Chain industry.Ability to lead strategic decisions regarding the "buy or build" approach for TMS components.Nice to Have:Experience with product-centric strategies.Knowledge of TMS (Transportation Management Systems), including Blue Yonder, Manhattan, Oracle, or Propsero.
