We're looking for a talented Graphic Design Specialist who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the Graphic Design Specialist will take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects and supports AFL's business objectives and brand position in the B-to-B telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities

Collaborate, brainstorm and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of materials that may include advertising, presentations, sales collateral, tradeshow graphics, signage, internal communications, newsletters and marketing materials.Thinking creatively and developing new design concepts, graphics and layouts and translating strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity.Present designs to clients or the Marketing team.Review/Proof designs for errors before printing or publishing them.Stay current on industry trends, software updates, and new design techniques, incorporating new knowledge into design projects as appropriate.Personal Qualities

Minimum 5 years experience in a professional graphic design positionBachelor's degree in communication, design, advertising or related experienceStrong design principlesStrong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and IllustratorProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointKnowledge in file preparation for print and digital mediaGeneral photography/video skillsGeneral web design skillsAll candidates must submit a portfolio of their work
