Senior UX Designer BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior UX Designer for a Hybrid position in Minneapolis, MN. Position Title: Senior UX Designer Location: Minneapolis/Remote Anticipated Start Date: [8/5/2024] Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Contract Duration: 6 MONTHS Job Type: Contract Pay Range: $60-$70/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). [JOB DESCRIPTION] We are looking for a Senior User Experience (UX) Specialist to join our growing UX Center of Excellence and provide support for our IT Digital team. You will create a seamless, intuitive, creative, and effective user and customer experience across the entire product portfolio. Responsible for leading the development of innovative and functional "end-to-end" experiences and interfaces for a variety of personas, aligning with our digital transformation strategy. You will focus not only on the design of the products and features but the entire end-to-end experience of a user's business interactions with our enterprise. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail-oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently and have the ability to solve complex problems. What Else Will You Do? * Define the user experience of our digital products and online applications by developing wireframes, prototypes, page flow / task flow designs, and navigation/information architecture. * Analyze and understand a problem to develop creative, forward-thinking solutions. * Ensure user experience designs are rooted in usability standards, accessibility compliance and industry best practices. * Collaborate with business product owners, Digital and IT engineers to deliver compelling designs to market that satisfy our goals and enhance our product set. * Procure and use data, including testing methods and KPIs to identify ways to improve the user experience. * Conduct group facilitation, user interviews, heuristic evaluations, and usability test design and moderation * Seamlessly alternate between dealing with highly technical teams and nontechnical business teams * Work with others in the UX Center of Excellence to develop and advocate for sound UX approaches across the organization * Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. What Are Some Required Skills and Experiences? * 4+ years of experience designing and leading the design of user interfaces for web and mobile app customer facing portals * Follow user-centered design principles with experience to include: * Developing prototypes and participating in innovation exercises * Knowledge and expertise in visual design * Developing and implementing UX / UI standards in large complex ecosystems * Knowledge and practical application of accessibility factors, per ADA, Section 508 requirements, and WCAG 2.0 AA * Proficiency with design tools, such as Figma * Experience designing for Mobile and / or Responsive Web * Proficient with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript Preferred Qualifications: (desired) * 7+ years of experience designing and leading the design of user interfaces for web / mobile app, following user-centered design principles * Familiarity with Google Materials and Angular * Knowledge and experience working in Agile/Scrum framework * Knowledge of Agriculture industry * Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to collaborate and drive change across all levels of an organization Benefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package includin , but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
