Our client is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join their globally distributed team, dedicated to addressing the unique challenges of public sector workloads that must adhere to government compliance and security requirements. This team combines the flexibility and scale of public clouds with needs for data residency, guardrails, policies, and security, contributing to the mission of empowering every organization on the planet to achieve more.

The Role

The ideal candidate has experience working on multiple enterprise solutions and is eager to learn more about platforms such as Azure, Copilots, and Power Platform. They are well-versed in component-based design practices and contributing to multi-product design systems, building end-to-end visual flows and detailed functional and accessibility specs.

The candidate enjoys collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including product managers, engineers, content designers, and researchers. They possess strong written and verbal communication skills that can unify the team to create simple and effective experiences. They are passionate about creating and iterating on product designs, discovering what works best, and applying their knowledge to create software products that make a positive impact.

The candidate thrives in the face of ambiguity, seeing it as an opportunity for innovation and learning, and uses their adaptability to navigate the unknown confidently.

ResponsibilitiesDeliver thorough, actionable, accessible, and intuitive designs for complex and regulated spaces, ensuring design work is clean, focused, and inspiring to others.Produce design visualizations, including storyboards, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and vision videos, to help everyone understand the best user experience.Create, assess, and validate design solutions based on user research input, user goals, business requirements, and technical feasibility.Collaborate closely with content designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to align, iterate, and deliver informed designs on time and with high quality.Coordinate testing efforts with user researchers, interpret test results, and incorporate insights into design efforts.Support engineering teams with design implementation, participate in product testing to maintain design quality, and adapt designs as needed during development.Accurately scope and estimate efforts, prioritize tasks and goals independently.Communicate the why, what, and how to diverse audiences to create clarity, generate energy, and influence buy-in from key stakeholders.Identify new opportunities and generate innovative ideas to improve products, processes, and culture.Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or equivalent professional experience.7+ years of experience designing end-to-end enterprise-scale cloud software or services.2+ years of experience working with and contributing to comprehensive design systems.Proven track record of creatively solving hard problems, driving complex design issues across multidisciplinary groups, and shipping relevant experiences within deadlines.Experience balancing user goals, business requirements, and technical constraints to deliver delightful and meaningful product experiences.Proficiency in modern component-based design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.Ability to create highly polished UX documentation, functional specs, accessibility specs, prototypes, mockups, user flows, and other communication artifacts.Ability to drive clarity and action through moments of ambiguity.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with designers and partners in Research, Product Management, and Engineering.Outstanding storytelling ability to generate empathy through written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.The target hiring compensation range for this role is $57.93 to $64.37 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
