The Role
This is a contract position in our San Francisco office.
We are seeking a passionate and versatile founding Senior Product Designer to spearhead the design of next-generation interfaces for video creation. This role is pivotal in enhancing our existing web application with innovative features and improvements, using a deep understanding of product design principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design, with an emphasis on creating intuitive, engaging user interfaces for both web and mobile platforms.
ResponsibilitiesLead design projects to enhance the Genmo web application, focusing on user experience, functionality, and aesthetics.Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to realize the vision of Genmo's AI-powered video generation tool.Engage with creatives to gather requirements, prototype, and iterate on new workflows for AI-driven video creation.Uphold and advance the visual consistency and user experience quality across all platforms.Pay meticulous attention to details such as micro-interactions, animations, and design flourishes to create delightful user experiences.Miscellaneous other design tasks across the company.Qualifications
Proven experience in product design, particularly for web and mobile interfaces.A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in designing intuitive user interfaces and engaging user experiences.Prior experience working in a small design team environment.A deep passion for design craftsmanship and an eye for detail in user interfaces.Experience with consumer applications and a strong understanding of how design impacts user engagement.A genuine interest in the possibilities of artificial intelligence and its impact on creative industries.Bonus Points
Previous experience in video creation or working within the video production industry.Skills in motion design, adding an extra dimension to user interface elements.Familiarity with front-end engineering and prototyping, enabling a closer collaboration with the engineering team.
