The Role:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating original communications to support Grimshaw's architectural, business development and communications teams, as well as studio-wide communications. A successful Graphic Designer will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prepare and deliver strong visual materials, including proposal submissions, architectural competitions, and event and marketing collateral.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for the design and delivery of the architectural teams' projects, including publication design, visual identity, visual systems, exhibitions, campaigns, presentations and digital media (e.g. company website, newsletters and interactive documents).Produce marketing deliverables including reports and presentation materials. Liaise with communication and business development teams for ongoing projects.Plan and supervise competition entries with the proposal team.Ensure the practice has an up-to-date portfolio of work by maintaining currency of project pages. Develop new project pages in line with upcoming projects alongside the proposal team.Design and layout collateral for internal communications and business information.Create infographics and presentation materials to simplify communication of complex data and concepts.Develop engaging promotional videos.Edit and optimize graphics and video content for social media platforms.Maintain standard systems within the department by saving, storing and archiving data according to established protocols.Assist the practice in delivering project presentations by providing technical advice and assistance; maintain a working knowledge of new products and develop visual outputs which meet industry standards.Skills and Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in graphic design.Excellent communication skills and effective relation building capacity with clients, partners and multiple stakeholders.Excellent creative and innovative skills.Must be detail-oriented and well organized. Experience with analyzing and planning the framework of design according to agreed concept. Innovative and lateral thinking with ability to propose and implement new efficient processes.Proven experience with developing graphics, illustrations, videos, gifs, and other creative materials for web, social, and digital platforms.Strong project management skills. Capable of managing multiple projects across multiple stages and time zones independently. Effective time management with ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines.Able to work autonomously.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, After Effects, Premiere Pro, XD and presentation software.Strong video editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro.Experience with Figma is preferred.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
