DESCRIPTION:

Chubb is looking for a director of the high-performing Creative and Video Production Services Team, reporting to the VP Creative and Video Production. The Media Production Director will strategize, conceptualize video productions, live event productions and broadcasts, supporting the company's internal and external business partners.

This seasoned professional will possess deep expertise in video and editing productions globally, enhancing client and employee engagement, and helping Chubb realize its business goals. This accomplished practitioner should be comfortable working in a highly matrixed company under tight deadlines across B2B2C business units - thinking outside the box in terms of creative production to support a market leading, product-focused organization. A hands-on individual who can work from ideation to and through execution. The individual relishes the opportunity to roll up their sleeves, dig in, staying on top of trends, and become a part of the Chubb's digital transformation.

The Creative Center of Excellence (CoE) is a growing function within Chubb's Global Marketing, Communications and Investor Relations team. This fast-moving CoE creatively powers brand building, business growth and talent attraction for Chubb. The Media Production Director is a high-visibility position that will operate at the nexus of Creative and Video Production with a focus on External Communications, Talent Recruitment and Culture, along with Business line marketing with room to grow.

Ideally, this candidate will be in our Whitehouse Station, NJ office on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote). We are also open to a hybrid schedule in our New York, NY office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The ideal candidate must have the ability to conceptualize and produce high quality videos for campaigns and assets for use across businesses, both internal and external utilizing emerging platforms daily.
  • Technical proficiency able to operate a variety cameras and audio equipment. Assist with video shoots as needed, maintain proficiency in video and audio editing software and stay abreast of new technologies and techniques in video production.
  • Experience in live events and broadcasts. Coordinate all things production, including audio, lighting, video, staging. Assist the management of production crew during load in, execution, and load out of show.
  • Collaborate with events team to organize AV set up for large corporate meetings and events.
  • Research and develop new equipment such as cameras, lighting and audio equipment as well as edit suites.
  • Organize and allocate resources for video projects, helping facilitate the creation of media content.
  • Working knowledge in animation techniques helpful.
  • Develop and manage to budget for animations and productions estimates, project scope and timeline for all projects.
  • Well-versed in creative and digital media best practices, a passion for driving change, and a desire to change paradigms
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced & matrixed organization.
  • Assist with the management of external vendors and mentoring the internal team.
  • Travel as necessary to support productions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in digital media production, video communications, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience working in video and editing production
  • Experience conceptualizing and producing on-brand videos and live broadcasts for global media channels; experience working within a corporate brand critical.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in video and audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, Logic X) is essential, knowledge of camera operation and video production techniques is required.
  • A commitment to professionalism and continuous improvement, keen interest in staying updated on industry trends and advancements in video production and editing.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to listen actively and ask questions to clarify project goals, requirements, associated costs, and deadlines.
  • A resourceful, independent self-starter, who enjoys rolling up his/her sleeves to tackle challenges, and able work collaboratively and quickly in a fast-moving environment; committed to thoughtfully giving and receiving feedback.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly skilled at planning, budgeting, and vendor negotiation.
  • Exceptional organization skills, attention to detail, and follow-through; able to balance multiple projects and competing priorities without missing a beat.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - must be able to clearly communicate, build relationships, influence, and rally support among stakeholders.

The pay range for the role is $80,500 to $137,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.
