The Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy and Content, Americas is responsible for the creation, communication and execution of a 3-year commercial marketing plan that enables the achievement of the Americas 3-year business strategy, inclusive of live, digital, social and traditional channels at the global, national and local levels. The successful candidate will own the marketing calendar, selection of marketing channel, development of collateral and deployment of campaigns, as well as the analysis and reporting of performance metrics to regional and global leadership teams. They will collaborate with other regional and global marketing teams to ensure brand alignment, maintain campaign synergy and manage schedule conflicts while recruiting, managing and developing a team of marketing communication and content specialists.

This position is part of the Americas Commercial Team and will be a Hybrid position based in Framingham, MA.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Own the Americas regional marketing plan, encompassing capital equipment, software, consumables and service products, ensuring it delivers sufficient marketing-derived interest and opportunity generation to enable achievement of stated commercial goals, with an incrementally high-return on marketing investment.

Lead go-to-market projects that translate commercial business strategy into reality through multifaceted and multichannel marketing campaigns.

Blend time-tested marketing strategies with new, creative ideas to deliver a compelling and engaging marketing program.

Develop and maintain a competitive edge and unambiguous brand recognition through differentiated experiences and voice.

Monitor and evaluate performance of marketing plan and commercial achievement against stated expectations, supporting analysis and corrective measures as required.

Lead, coach and develop a team of marketing communications professionals, and support them to achieve growth and performance targets.

Attract, engage and retain outstanding talent that embraces the Danaher core values and Danaher Business System (DBS).

The essential requirements of the job include:

University degree in a relevant business (e.g. Marketing) or scientific (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Engineering) field or equivalent work experience in relevant markets (e.g., pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, academic / commercial / government research in life sciences, environmental, food, clinical, forensic).

3 or more years of leadership experience managing, coaching, and mentoring staff.

Multiple years of experience working in one or more relevant markets identified above in a marketing capacity.

Demonstrable experience building and executing marketing programs that aggressively pursue new business through competitive share-gain while also defending core business positions.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects, simultaneously, adhering to timeline expectations.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, formal presentation) at all levels of the organization.

Ability to travel within the US, Canada, and Latin America approximately 25% of the time.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Advanced user of contact relationship management (CRM) software (e.g. Salesforce).

Financial analysis and reporting of marketing performance metrics, including marketing-derived commercial success metrics.

Advanced business degree (e.g. M.B.A.) with concentration in Marketing preferred.
