The Director of Retail Marketing is responsible for driving sales and market share for our retail brand on a national scale. This person will lead, engage and activate a highly loyal consumer in a rapidly evolving retail environment. They will build, develop, and execute the retail brand through innovative in-store experience, merchandising, shopper promotions, digital programming, and events, with a focus on national scale and local community programming.

Job Responsibilities:

Work with cross-functional partners to define the core retail brand position, articulating our brand's value proposition and how we differentiate Story in the competitive landscape.Build a distinctive brand that is consistent across all touchpoints along the customer journey.Participate in commercial planning, working with cross functional partners to define retail activation and promotional strategies.Partner with Retail Operations to define the ideal guest experience across store design, merchandising, education and guest consultations to increase average order value per transaction and repeat visits.Oversee the creation of scalable and repeatable toolkits to support the fast-growing number of new store openings, store conversions and acquisition integrations.Strategize and plan with local markets to support regional or location specific programing needs.Develop, implement, and manage digital advertising campaigns across multiple platformsMonitor and optimize ad performance to maximize reach, engagement, and conversionsStrategize and execute media buying plans to achieve optimal ad placements and reach target audiences effectivelyNegotiate and manage contracts with media vendors to ensure cost-effective ad placementsOversee the CRM strategy to enhance customer engagement, retention, and loyaltyEstablish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing activities to measure effectiveness and ROIRequirements

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of independence and resilience.Strong leadership and project management skills to manage project timelines and cross functional teams with excellence in execution with strong attention to details.Previous experience managing a team of direct reportsAnalytical mindset with proficiency using data to make sound recommendations affecting business decisions and results.Excellent written communication skills and solid presentation skills.Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field8+ years of marketing experience in a progressive retail environment, with previous experience within the cannabis industry
