Software Resources has an immediate, contract job opportunity for a Designer, Global UX/UI Experience Design with a major corporation in Orlando, FL.

This is a remote role but candidates MUST be local to Orlando.

Portfolios will be required upon submission for all candidates.

This role will be part of the Global UXUI Experience Design Group at Destination & Experiences (UDX), embedded in a cross-functional scrum team focused on content and commerce enhancements for UDX's web and app experiences. Participates from inception to execution, working collaboratively within the team and with partners, while applying the Universal design system consistently across destinations and placements to support an elegant and seamless experience.

Major Responsibilities:

Support delivery of a high volume of pages by crafting high quality creative informed by user experience documentation.Synthesize product design and consumer trends and recommend clear, specific solutions to meet consumer needs.Execute and provide design artifacts that support UXUI best practices across integration (customer and technical) points to provide a superior, seamless experience from daily improvements to longer-term strategies.Qualifications :

Demonstrated success creating end-to-end digital product designs in the consumer technology sectorShould have exceptional brand, visual, and interaction design skills and a depth of experience working across the user-centered design process: from conducting and leveraging research (quantitative and qualitative) to prototyping and implementation to testing and evaluation.Strong foundational design skills: Typography, layout, composition, color theory, iconography, UI/UX, motion/interaction design and brandingExperience creating and documenting UI toolkits, style guides, and front-end frameworks for design and development teamsExperience utilizing user-centric design methodology: Gathering/shaping requirements, defining user stories, storyboarding features and iterating based on user feedback/testingdesire to tackle and solve problems, from big picture strategy to granular detailsPassionately advocate for the userKnowledge of reviewing and applying accessibility best practices to solutionsExperience with agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative environmentHighly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figmpositive attitude, open mind, and desire to collaborate and learnJOB SUMMARY:The Design Technologist, UX/UI role will be a core member of the Global UXUI Experience Design team at Parks and Resorts, working with a cross functional team focused on identifying opportunities to enhance customer engagement by executing an elegant and seamlessly accessible experience. Key member in creating opportunities for efficiency and scalability through prototyping and documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Rapidly build and iterate interactive prototypes in an agile environment using design software and/or HTML/CSS/JavaScript to quickly answer questions on the design, usability, feasibility, accessibility, and desirability of the proposed experience.• Use the tools of UX and Development disciplines to create a shared understanding of intent between teams through prototyping, code, and documentation deliverables.• Create prototypes and documentation to ensure other team members understand the intent of the delivered patterns as well as the learnings gained from each.40%• Apply systems thinking to innovate and extend the Global Design System framework capabilities across web, native apps, VR, AR, voice interfaces, facial recognition, and other emerging technologies providing the business flexibility and speed to deploy guest experiences with in-the-moment speed.• Seek opportunities to leverage partner capabilities to elevate Global Design System outputs.35%• Evolve accessibility standards and practices of the Global Design System team and ensure all GDS component deliverables are accessible.• Stay current on emerging trends and pitch concepts that can enhance the guest experience across content, commerce, syndication, and unique physical and immersive experiences.• Identify opportunities, problems, and impacts arising from technical decisions.• Identify gaps in internal process, knowledge, or tooling across our teams and prepare solutions.• Build custom tooling that integrates with our established design systems architectures, and identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements of those tools.• Coaching other team members on front-end engineering and prototyping.25%• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :• Mastery of web development fundamentals• Track record of building and working with responsive, dynamic web pages• An eye and passion for crafting world-class web experiences• Fluency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript• Familiarity with modern technologies including Flexbox and CSS animations• Strong proficiency with version control systems, including Git• Comfort with Web Components format and Angular framework• GitHub, CodePen, or other links showcasing your skills, or a UI/UX portfolio is required• Fluency in design tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Invision, etc).• Deep understanding of how to create usable, accessible, and modular designs that can scale to millions of users• Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment• Experience & comfort prototyping and quickly iterating with a focus on the end user experience• Knowledge of reviewing and applying accessibility best practices to solutions.• Passionately advocate for the user• Comfortable with agile transformation• A positive attitude, open mind, and desire to collaborate and learn

EDUCATION : High school degree or GED is required.

EXPERIENCE : 2+ years contributing to design systems and 4+ years of engineering or development skills required. Significant industry experience uniquely qualifying you for this role will be considered; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
