JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Director, Girls Marketing for our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for leading product development, integrated marketing strategy, advertising/promotional recommendations, and profitability for both internal IP and external licensed brands. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role for someone looking to drive decision making.

Responsibilities Include
Develop and implement the global product strategy for a variety of girl targeted brands in various doll categories, as well as preschoolDevelop and oversee the implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PRPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure all product development time lines are adhered to, all details are properly executed, and that all parties are informed of relevant information where requiredWork closely with the company’s Sales team, enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentationsOwn the P&L including management of pricing, costing, profitability analysis, and SKU managementUndertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends, looking for new opportunities to grow the businessGuide cross-functional teams throughout the product development process to ensure brand vision is achievedSupervise a brand manager and marketing coordinator while guiding them for future success and advancement
Skills & Experience Required
8+ years experience in product development and marketing within a consumer products organizationBA in marketing or related field required, MBA preferredAffinity for pop culture and a desire to bring properties to life for fans of all agesStrong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with experience presenting to all levels of management both within the organization and to external partnersResourceful: able to self-start and get things accomplished with minimal oversightWork effectively within a team environmentHighly organized and able to multitaskHave a positive, “can do” attitudeProven track record of success in senior marketing rolesIdeally, have experience in the toy industry or working in an industry that markets kids and distributes to mass merchandisers globally.
