Description:
This position is responsible for the licensed product development of Hardlines Games and Puzzles for our clients' businesses.
**It is 6-month Leave Coverage - 4 days onsite in Lake Buena Vista FL.**
Success in the role is dependent on the capability to design and work with licensees and internal partners to develop innovative and on-brand products.- I deally seeking experience in: Puzzles, bicycles, power wheels, scooters, games, novelty products/collectables, consumer electronics, swim pool toys, sporting goods
- Important to be good with games and puzzles-specifically collectible card games and family games( think Monopoly!)
Building and maintaining strong peer, team and key stakeholder relationships is vital in ensuring the highest quality, consumer focused, trend-right product lines across all channels of
distribution, that build brand equity, deliver an outstanding experience for consumers, and meet financial targets.
Responsibilities:- Concept, design, sketch, and give direction on product submission from licensees.- Create and present trend-right, consumer centric product lines that feature market-leading innovation and deliver price/value for our consumers.- Execute product and licensed packaging approvals through online systems and collaborative approval meetings, ensuring high quality standards in character execution,
in-depth storytelling, color, material, form and function while maximizing profitability, as well as onboarding new partners- Create and/or partner on key stakeholder presentations, and retail pitch decks-
Collaborate with internal partners (Creative Design, Licensing Teams, Global Brand teams, Global Product Design teams, Marketing, Legal, Business Affairs, D&I teams,
Cultural Consultants) and cross-company partners (Studios & Channel Content Providers, Games, Publishing) to design and approve all products- Monitor competitors, product trends and innovation and market dynamics Research initial seasonal trends by category- Keep abreast of consumer trends and communicate opportunities where these can be applied- Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects within deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related experience- Must have comprehensive knowledge of toy product categories and product development. An interest in traditional games, role playing games, board games, TCG card games etc. a plus. (including, raw materials, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition and manufacturing)- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Solid negotiating skills- Bachelor's Degree in design related field (e.g. industrial design, product design, toy design)
Required Education:- Bachelor's Degree
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43.63 to $48.48 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
