Description:
This position is responsible for the licensed product development of Hardlines Games and Puzzles for the client businesses. Success in the role is dependent on the capability to design and work with licensees and internal partners to develop innovative and on-brand products.
Building and maintaining strong peer, team and key stakeholder relationships is vital in ensuring the highest quality, consumer focused, trend-right product lines across all channels of distribution, that build brand equity, deliver an outstanding experience for consumers, and meet financial targets.
Responsibilities:Concept, design, sketch, and give direction on product submission from licensees.Create and present trend-right, consumer centric product lines that feature market- leading innovation and deliver price/value for our consumers.Execute product and licensed packaging approvals through online systems and collaborative approval meetings, ensuring high quality standards in character execution, in-depth storytelling, color, material, form and function while maximizing profitability, as well as onboarding new partnersCreate and/or partner on key stakeholder presentations, and retail pitch decksCollaborate with internal partners (Creative Design, Licensing Teams, Global Brand teams, Global Product Design teams, Marketing, Legal, Business Affairs, D&I teams,Cultural Consultants) and cross-company partners to design and approve all productsMonitor competitors, product trends and innovation and market dynamicsResearch initial seasonal trends by categoryKeep abreast of consumer trends and communicate opportunities where these can be appliedMust demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects within deadlinesJob Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Must have comprehensive knowledge of toy product categories and product development.An interest in traditional games, role playing games, board games, TCG card games etc. a plus. (including, raw materials, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition and manufacturing)Strong verbal and written communication skillsSolid negotiating skillsBachelor's degree in design related field (e.g. industrial design, product design, toy design)3+ years of related experience
