The AI Design team's mission is to accelerate AI innovation across our products and platforms, provide cohesive AI experiences and setup up an Atlassian AI infrastructure for the future. Reporting into the Head of Design for AI, you'll be a member of a newly formed team of Product and Content Designers within the core design group, all motivated to innovate on how our products use AI to solve customer problems. The ideal candidate will have both a strong design background and practitioner experience with AI/ML technology.In this role, you will:Partner with leadership, stakeholders, cross-functional teams to create improvements to AI-driven features and core AI capabilitiesPartner with product teams who will leverage the patterns and concepts in their products to ship AI-powered featuresLead multiple AI design projects from creation to execution and be responsible tying back to customer value delivery and outcomesCommunicate design concepts and plans persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organizationIdentify success metrics for ensuring design solutions continue to deliver customer valueIdentify opportunities to enhance our products and accelerate AI experiences at AtlassianCollaborate with some of the industry's smartest (and nicest) people. You'll work with fellow Designers as well as Engineers, Product Managers, Content Designers, Researchers, Marketing Experts, and Analysts to advocate for the user experience in our products and ship high-quality workYour background:More than five years experience in Design Leadership rolesExperience in planning and driving direction autonomously - both as a hands-on designer, and as a managerMaintain an area of core strength in one or more Design disciplines where you can lead through your expertiseTrack-record in working effectively with scaled systems and different methods for designingComfort in the level of learning and ambiguity needed to navigate fast-evolving fields like AIDemonstrated capability to understand the technical underpinnings of software productsPositive collaboration history with other departments, like Engineering, Product Management and ResearchExamples of a high degree of influence with all kinds of internal partners, including senior leadershipCompensationAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $216,600 - $288,800Zone B: $194,900 - $259,900Zone C: $179,800 - $239,700This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones.
