R. K. Tongue Co., Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual for our newly created Marketing Coordinator position. Founded in 1911, we are a growing expertise and service-oriented insurance agency and brokerage based in Maryland. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility, attract potential clients, and support business growth.

Position title: Marketing Coordinator

Description: As R.K. Tongue’s Marketing Coordinator, you will collaborate directly with internal stakeholders to lead the firm’s marketing and branding efforts to increase market share within existing markets as well as expand our brand into new markets.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of marketing principles specific to the insurance industry, coupled with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for innovative marketing solutions.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Collaborate with RKT sales team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and plans tailored for our insurance products and services.

· Coordinate and implement marketing campaigns across various channels including digital (website, social media), print (brochures, flyers), and events (seminars, webinars).

· Create compelling content for different digital platforms, ensuring consistency with brand voice and messaging.

· Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for competitive positioning and growth.

· Monitor and report on marketing campaign performance metrics, including ROI, lead generation, and conversion rates.

· Report on marketing campaign performance metrics by relationship, department, and channel.

· Assist in managing the agency's online presence, including website content updates, SEO optimization, and optimizing social media engagement metrics.

· Support the organization and execution of promotional events, from planning logistics to post-event analysis.

· Maintain marketing materials inventory, ensuring all collateral is current and compliant with regulatory guidelines.

· Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales team, underwriters) to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives and messaging.

· Create and execute a content calendar to develop a library of sales and marketing assets, including case studies, white papers, webinars, videos, help articles, and other materials.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications,or a related field.

· Proven experience in marketing roles within the insurance industry is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, as well as marketing best practices specific to insurance industry.

· Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM software, SEO optimization, Google Analytics, social media management tools).

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft clear and persuasive messaging.

· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when necessary.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Compensation:

· Starting compensation in the $50,000 - $80,000 range (salary dependent on experience)
