The Process Designer provides design support of the Process Systems to produce construction documents for the following systems: high purity gases and chemicals, upstream and downstream biologics processing, small molecule synthesis, fill/finish, high purity water, waste treatment, and clean and support utilities, controls, and the like.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Assists in developing Process Systems construction documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project managerAssists in pre-design project activities, such as site assessment, site plan review, and verification of as built conditionsAssists project team to find optimum system sizing, routing, materials, and space management for ductwork and piping systemsAssists senior staff with services during construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, and as-built drawingsCoordinates with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external)Assists in developing projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirementsAssists in the production of construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplinesParticipates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverablesMentor interns and junior members of project teamsAssists in the development of construction drawings, details, schedules and diagrams for process systemsAssists in performing quality control reviews of work developed by othersOther duties as assignedThe information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
