The pay range is $69,000.00 - $124,200.00

As a

Senior Packaging Production Designer

, you will be responsible for extending design programs for Target's portfolio of exclusive owned brand packaging while maintaining consistent brand standards. With a high standard of creativity and quality, you will collaborate with creative and marketing teams in detailed concepts and executing layout revisions, establishing extensive and detailed toolkits or style guides as well as creating schematics or mock-ups & presentation decks for partner and/or leadership reviews. You will manage/track all project assets, dielines and proof all keyline ready-files while working closely with global marketing and packaging partners. You will help define and apply production execution rules to all work, layouts and print ready files including message hierarchy, branding elements, type-setting, photography and illustrations while ensuring quality and accuracy of work per Target’s best practices and industry standards. Strong communication skills are instrumental in ensuring all peers and partners are kept informed. You will have the ability to work independently, manage and leading all production design details in order to meet project deadlines and successfully integrate and balance big picture with day-to-day work. A Sr Production Designer will also drive continual improvements by defining quality standards and best practices, streamline process, take initiative to address critical issues as well as participate and lead special projects and committees that will impact the larger organization.

About you:

4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience

4-6+ years of Packaging experience with production emphasis

Solid use of MAC computer programs: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.

Proven track record of work demonstrating ability to adhere to brand expectations, applying fundamental design skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to extend detailed concepts across multiple formats and channels while applying proportions of scale and production rules to each.

Strong success rate of receiving and interpreting design direction from creative partners.

Successfully collaborates and performs duties by solving problems, applying critical thinking, presenting and clearly communicating role and project needs with partners and leaders.

Proven track record of operating effectively, efficiently and with minimal direction through ambiguity.

Established success in simultaneously organizing and managing multiple large and small projects.

Stays current on emerging style, graphic and industry trends, innovation, and advancement in the fields of branding, design, as well as tools and technology used to perform role.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
