The University at Albany, Massry School of Business is searching for a Manager of Communications and Marketing to promote our academic programs and develop communication campaigns. This position will play a leading role in developing and implementing marketing strategies, creating engaging content, and ensuring consistent messaging across various channels.

Primary Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing communications and outreach strategies, materials, and services for the School in collaboration with the Office of Communications and Marketing.

Identify best content and plan communications strategy; collect, create, write, synthesize, and edit content for the program websites, social media outlets, email communication and print media for the purpose of reaching internal and external audiences for marketing and recruitment purposes.

Collaborating with departments and program managers to develop and execute marketing plans and strategies to attract prospective graduate and undergraduate students.

Assisting in the development of specialized content for external audiences and alumni, including but not limited to content for executive communications, correspondence, recognition society communications, or special-use impact reports.

Maintaining the School's social media feeds by developing content and remaining current on trends and new social media platforms.

Analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns including events surrounding the Massry School of Business.

Utilizing social media tracking tools to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of social media and other marketing campaigns.

Overseeing the School's webpage using the website management software, Drupal.

Using Customer Relations Management system, SLATE (Technolutions) in assisting with the development of marketing campaigns.

Attending on-campus events and presentations to help promote accomplishments and achievements of our School.

Capture photographs and visuals, or work with the Office of Communications and Marketing, as needed to support content creation and marketing materials.

Uphold best practices and ensure branding consistency across Massry School of Business entities.

In partnership with the Graduate School and the Office of Communication and Marketing, define audiences and segments and identify channels for advertising and sponsorship to promote Massry School of Business graduate programs.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituencies and work as part of a cross-functional team.

Minimum of four years' experience directly related and progressively responsible work experience in marketing and communications management.

Experience with multiple social media platforms.

Strong proficiency in technology and new media (website design, ADOBE Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, internet, database operation, presentation/publishing software).

Experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM).

Ability to create and generate new social media communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree and/or a professional certification in marketing or public relations is preferred.

Experience in higher education marketing or communications.

Understanding of University at Albany brand.

Experience using website development tool, preferably Drupal.

Proficiency in SLATE (Technolutions).
