This role will sit within our dynamic design team, working on diverse clients across the agency. We’re passionate, unconventional, and driven by a desire to do the best work possible.Who Are You?As an Associate Design Director, you’ll manage, concept, and execute high-quality visual design on multiple accounts and projects. You will manage client relationships by assessing client needs, presenting concepts for approval, and delivering edits to completion. You will be responsible for the conceptual and stylistic direction on multiple marquis brands, part of a broader creative and client-service team whose primary goal is to deliver results with design ideas that earn their way into conversation and get shared like wildfire. As an Associate Design Director, you will also provide design direction to others, guiding them to achieve consistent and high-quality creative outputs. Your passion for design will shine through as you deliver best-in-class presentations, reports, and visual content that elevate our clients and engage the audience.You’re a designer, a doer, and a problem solver. Whether it is bringing an executive presentation to life, creating event materials in InDesign, or mocking up ideas for creative campaigns, you’ve got the chops. You have great taste, you follow the design world, but you don’t simply copy trends. You’re driven and curious, unafraid to build something new.Responsibilities:

Work closely with Design Directors, Creative Directors, Copywriters, broader design, creative,and account teams to create breakthrough designs for multiple clientsDevelop conceptual and stylistic direction and execute same for a wide variety of communications projects, including presentation, print, social and digital, video, and interactiveParticipate in kickoff meetings and brainstorms to recommend best practices and ask questions essential the success of the projectThink strategically and conceptualize creatively, staying informed and active in the design community around youWork closely with project managers to schedule projects and coordinate productionEffectively complete projects within time frames and budget parameters, hitting deadlines and managing stakeholder expectationsOversee other designers to help them grow and ensure quality, consistencyBasic Qualifications:

5+ years' experience designing for marketing, advertising or social media within an agency settingA bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Advertising or Communication Design (or other related field)Preferred Qualifications:

A professional-level knowledge of industry-standard design software and tools including the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, Lightroom), Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint/Word), Google Slides and Figma.A drool-worthy portfolio that demonstrates powerful visual storytelling across presentations, reports, mockups, animations/motion, printStrong presentation and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of print production concepts and prepressExperience managing day-to-day changes at every level of detailExperience maintaining stakeholder contact as needed and assisting with budget and schedule development (i.e., knowing how long it takes you to do things)Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong layout and composition, with a keen eye for typography and motion.Video editing & motion design (AfterEffects, Adobe Premiere) skills are a plus$86,000 - $105,000 a yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees.
