This position will support the requirements of the Center, particularly as they relate to project management and grant writing activities. For more information on CISR and its work, please visit https://www.jmu.edu/cisr.Duties and Responsibilities:* Project Management: Serve as project manager for specific grant-funded tasks and projects related to humanitarian mine action, conventional weapons destruction, or broader post-conflict stabilization and recovery issues. Serve as fellowship coordinator for the Frasure-Kruzel-Drew (FKD) Memorial Fellowship, funded through a grant from the US Department of State. Manage logistics for CISR training courses, conferences and workshops both at JMU and abroad. Ensure projects meet goals for quality assurance, monitoring, reporting, timeliness, objectives and keep costs within budget. Coordinate and/or provide research and analysis of information needed to complete projects and funding proposals. Supervise FKD Fellowship positions, CISR wage staff, and student assistants or interns through the delegation and oversight of tasks related to specific contract and grant-funded projects. Coordinate the work of faculty, other subject-matter experts and sub-grantees assigned to related grant-funded projects. Maintain relationships with sponsors and donors during all phases of the projects and requests for funding. Provide staffing assistance to CISR projects and events as needed, either at JMU or abroad.* Grant Writing and Program Coordination: Write competitive grant proposals based on new ideas/opportunities or renewal of existing programs. Identify and strategize the pursuit of different grant opportunities to support the mission and operations at the Center. Assist with internal management and coordination of Center grants, projects, reports, and funding proposals/budgets. Lead or assist with developing, reviewing and revising sub-award documents and budgets, as relate to specific grants assigned to them. Assist CISR with incorporating JMU-related policies, updates and procedures into the work of the Center and incorporating CISR into the wider university activities. Lead or assist with tasks, presentations and events related to development, outreach, fundraising, and communications in coordination with CISR program and communications staff. Represent CISR and promote its activities on JMU campus, locally, nationally and internationally. Create or co/create social media content for CISR social media channels especially as they relate to CISR projects or programs. Supervise certain CISR staff and student employees beyond project activities to include daily tasks, attendance and timesheets, performance evaluation, recruiting and hiring and other administrative-related activities. Employees supervised may include student research assistants, wage employees and full-time A&P Faculty positions (i.e., FKD Memorial Fellows) as assigned.Qualifications:* Project management experience is required.* Grant writing experience is required.* Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred.* Knowledge of MS Office Suite is required.* Demonstrated commitment to Inclusive Excellence is desired.* Experience implementing international development projects abroad is preferred.* Experience with communicating with donors, partners and other stakeholders on sponsored projects is preferred.* Understanding and/or experience with various aspects of post-conflict issues, mine action, and the conventional weapons destruction community is desired.* Experience in supervising student employees is helpful.* Knowledge of JMU systems is helpful.Additional Posting Information:Candidates should complete the online application and provide:* A resume* A cover letter* A professional writing sample* A Statement of Inclusive Excellence (optional): This statement should address the applicant's efforts towards diversity, equity, inclusion and/or justice within workplace activities.
