Engineering Lab Technician (FIB-SEM)

Duration: 12 months Contract W2Location: Cupertino, CA (100% onsite)Job Summary:We are looking for an Analytical Engineering Lab Technician who will be responsible for supporting sample preparation and FIB-SEM analysis for battery materials testing and failure analysis programs . The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge in executing standard operating procedures in a laboratory environment.Required technical skills:2+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment.Experience with operating various analyses equipment such as FIB-SEM, SEMExperience with metrology equipment/ instrumentation such as analytical balances.Experience using Mac OS X and Windows OS.Secondary Skills:

ion milling, TGA, BET, XRD, equipment maintenance, sample preparationDescription:• Prepare test samples for various chemical analyses.• Execute measurements following SOPs.• Accurately record test results and perform some data analysis.• Support SOP documentation.• Work closely with engineers to support battery development work.• Report status on a regular basis.• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.Desirable technical skills:• Science/engineering educational background.• Experience with batteries and battery materials• Experience in recording detailed and accurate test descriptions and data summaries.• Experienced in sample preparation in fume/flow hoods, and preferably also in glove boxes.• Able to effectively contribute to a dynamic and often fast-paced, high-pressure work environment
