As the Senior Product Designer, you will successfully design and develop innovative products for one of the hottest brands in the market! You will have the opportunity to demonstrate creative thinking and execute a wide variety of projects to support and align with brand strategies and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the toy industry, exceptional design skills, and a strong understanding of human anatomy to create realistic and engaging products.
What you will do:
Create innovative and engaging concepts that resonate with AEW fans, integrating storytelling and character authenticity.Exhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding of the competition marketplace in the toy industry.Champion great design in our high-quality products and help ensure they are within target cost and QA/QC requirements.Ensure delivery of precise, clear, and complete product turnover specifications and ensure they are fully understood by the international team(s)/factory(ies).Successfully prepare, present, and communicate concepts to the brand, development, management, and licensor teams.Support the overall strategic goals of the product, and provide direction and feedback during the development process that is attentive to Licensor requirements.Responsible for completing, reviewing, and documenting specification changes, submitting for licensor approval, and providing comments for illustrative turns, sculpts, paintmasters, and sample reviews.Work closely with Brand/Management teams to resolve development issues, while assuring designs meet the target cost, schedule, and brand standards.Communicate with the packaging design team to ensure product and packaging are aligned.Work collaboratively with your branding, product management, engineering, packaging, licensor, and other internal team partners to create a product that is the best fit for the brand.Build consensus between team members throughout the design process.Be adaptable to shifting priorities and be vigilant to keep team projects moving forward to hit deadlines.Attend Brand, licensing, and brainstorming meetings to obtain necessary information for product design.Manages People: No

Travel Required: Yes - LimitedWhat we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in toy design, industrial design, industrial engineering, or industry-relevant field preferred.5-8 years of relevant experience, ideally experience in toy design, with a focus on action figures or collectibles.Proficient in pattern making and fitting, fabric types, and embellishments, as well as 3D sculpting and 3D skills.Experience with Clo3d and Marvelous Designer is a plus.1+ years of experience working with global manufacturing factories (Asia preferred).Exhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding of the competitive marketplace in the toy industry.Proactively observes and gains an understanding of the competitive marketplace including current trends and innovation.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite.Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator, photoshop, and InDesign).Strong project management skills.Able to work cross-functionally and reciprocally with multiple departments.Able to work independently or collaboratively.Knowledge of materials and multiple manufacturing processes.Knowledge of working with licensed brands.Exceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skills.Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.Demonstrates a strong design sense, including a well-developed sense of aesthetics.Can easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time, while also demonstrating vigilance in keeping projects moving forward and hitting deadlines.Effective problem solver and critical thinker; proactive in resolving issues.Expertise in control drawings and rendered illustration concepts.Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner.

Base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for annual performance incentives may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, the salary range may not apply to other states.
