In the Energy & Earth Journals team, we deliver world-class content by and for researchers across the globe, with a particular focus on content that supports UN sustainable development goals and a net zero future.

About the Role

We are looking for a Journal Publisher to oversee a portfolio of journals in the energy and earth sciences; and take project oversight of select initiatives and projects in the team.

ResponsibilitiesMaintaining the high-quality performance of a portfolio of titles with supporting goals around accelerated growth of content

Managing new editor appointments and ensure your journals have editorial structures that are diverse and dynamic

Engaging with customers through careful relationship-management and regular communication. You will share customer insight with the team to help us provide products and services that your community wants.

Improving the visibility of your journal brands and our company tools and services through effective outreach and keeping an eye on the competition

Championing select initiatives in the team, following up on actions and recommendations and ensuring team engagement and delivery

Working closely with colleagues to help deliver on collaborative projects and goals

Location

Permanent full-time role attached to one of our key journal sites in the USA, Netherlands, UK, or China

We support hybrid office/home working where homeworking is possible

Requirements

Be a fluent English speaker with proven communication skills

Possess a Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred. Educational background in a related field is desirable but not required.

Demonstrate experience in publishing, project management, or academic research role

Have proactive, solid negotiating, interpersonal and analytical skills

Be a critical thinker and be willing to learn and absorb new areas of research

Possess the ability to work successfully in a diverse global team

Having a can-do attitude and team-oriented approach are essential for success in this role

Be willing to travel in the US and internationally
