Job Summary

The team is seeking a coordinator to contribute to the firm's planning and execution of marketing and communications initiatives. This includes logistical support for hosted events both internal and external and in-person and virtual, working cross functionally to manage budget and legal approvals while maintaining CRM platforms and dashboards. The role will support several divisions under the Lafayette Square umbrella allowing for significant exposure to different audiences and strategies including Origination, Lafayette Square Institute, Capital Formation, and more. This is an opportunity to join a team critical to the success of a commercially scaled asset management firm with tremendous growth opportunities.

Origination : Support regional based originators develop and execute their sales strategy and develop relationships that will ultimately win deals and deploy capital.

Lafayette Square Institute : Our affiliated policy nonprofit that focuses where we can leverage our unique investor insights and place-based data to deliver policy recommendations to increase economic opportunity and drive positive change for underserved people and in overlooked places.

Capital Formation:

Assist the Capital Formation Team in hosting investor related events that will support fundraising efforts.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the Marketing Team in producing virtual and in-person events, including but not limited to venue research, target outreach, vendor management, contract negotiations, hotel rooming list management, attendee experience, logistical support, budget tracking and event web page creation.Exposure and collaboration with various teams including Capital Formation, Origination, Lafayette Square Institute and general internal events and retreats.Assist in creating and maintaining marketing materialsMaintain data in the firm's CRM platform including adding target profiles, marketing campaigns, budget and speaking engagement approvals, managing expenses, submitting approval requests to the legal team and tracking campaign ROISupport Lafayette Square's external messaging via social media, emailers, video content, and more.Work within our existing event platforms managing external event development, registration, and trackingOptimize existing processes in place to work efficiently across various teamsWork efficiently with internal and external parties as it relates to upcoming eventsRequirements

Reside in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virgina areaAbility to work from Washington, DC office to support in-person meetings, events, and other office management requestsAbility to work early morning and or late-night for event preparation, setup or breakdownExperience: 1-2 years' experience in a Marketing role - event experience requiredInterest in public policy and government work preferredMust be willing to operate in a nonpartisan environment and actively build strong relationships across the political and ideological spectrum.Strong academic credentials - Bachelor's Degree is required.Mature, responsible, and proactive qualities to complement the existing team.Ability to pivot and work on several projects at one time. Must have a significant organizational and process-oriented skillset.Must have demonstrated excellent oral, written, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.Experience with and commitment to utilizing technology for streamlining processes, workflows and efficiency.Demonstrate ability to collaborate cross-functionally to translate ideas into conception and ultimately execution.Must possess understanding of the job at the strategic as well as tactical levels.Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization.

Compensation

$55-$70k
