Position Overview:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the agency-wide coordination of effective marketing, while assisting with the delivery of digital and online communications. S/he collaborates with other agency stakeholders to create an effective communications plan to ensure that GPAEA is a welcoming, supportive, and efficient environment for students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors. S/he raises the visibility of the agency in order to educate stakeholders on agency services and supports, attract new employees, publicize the collaborative value-added relationships of the agency with local and state education agencies, and promote the profile of

GPAEA as a whole to external audiences.. He/She receives the public in a pleasant and helpful manner, filters inquiries, and generally relieves the Chief Administrator of appropriate administrative and business details. The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Chief Administrator. S/he serves as a support to the administrative team regarding all marketing and communications plans and accepts responsibilities as identified by all.

Qualifications:

He/She must possess the ability to independently produce a variety of publications from various data and input sources. He/She must have professional appearance, good communication, interpersonal and group facilitation skills. He/She must exhibit excellent organizational skills and must maintain confidentiality. He/She must possess a high degree of skill in communication, public relations, human relations and diplomacy. He/She must be alert, enthusiastic and possess good listening skills. He/She must be able to compose correspondence and news releases as needed, and must handle information in a professional and confidential manner. A degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication or Journalism preferred.

General Marketing Responsibilities:

Maintains files of pertinent information for self and Chief Administrator.Organizes and composes correspondence for the agency.Makes necessary arrangements and preparation for meetings called by the Chief Administrator and attends Chief Administrator's meetings as requested and communicates important information from meetings as needed.Develops and distributes marketing tools for the Area Education Agency, such as newsletters, brochures, displays, fliers, and other marketing tools.Develop and administer Agency website and social media.Assist with the production of effective advertising of the agency.Oversee the collection of professional photographic and video records of the agency staff for promotional material.Serve as the primary contact for all marketing-related projects which may include third parties (such as advertising companies and consultants) that the agency has engaged to help with specific projects.Develops and maintains a good working relationship with education news writers and directors.Provide photography, videography and design support as required by the Chief Administrator and administrative team.Prepares written publications directed to Area Education Agency personnel in order to increase staff understanding of the total mission of the Area Education Agency.Lead with the promotion and support of events.Attend state, agency, and local school district distinguished calendar approved events to gather news/media related to the agency.Collaborate with the Human Resources department to preserve all legal documents of the Area Education Agency.Assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Chief Administrator.Social Media Responsibilities

Develop and maintain social media content plans in conjunction with the Chief Administrator and administrative team, complying with agency policies.Create a comprehensive social media plan that includes regular content (utilizing videography, photography, and design skills) and execute the social media content plan.Ensure social media feeds look clean, balanced, and maintain consistent AEA branding.Monitor and respond to comments and posts in conjunction with the administrative team complying with agency policies.Research and provide ongoing recommendations for the social media strategy and platforms.Monitor and evaluate the performance of social media channels.Follow schools, educational or related accounts on social media channels.Provide an ongoing report to the Chief Administrator.Digital Communications Responsibilities:

Create digital communications content (utilizing videography, photography, and design skills) for the agency website and various digital marketing solutions to promote the school, including a regular internal staff communication and external district communication update.Responsible for the creation and distribution, writing and editing content, including events and news additions.Interview staff, students, parents, and district stakeholders to gather news events and stories for internal and local news outlet submissions.Adhere to the appropriate authorization and approval process prior to distributing communications.Create and update web pages on the agency website according to the established plans approved by the Chief Administrator and administrative team.Monitor and evaluate the performance of the website and provide an ongoing report to the Director and Administration TeamPhysical Requirements:

Ability to travel between schools/sites served and outside of the agency.Normal, routine levels of bending, carrying, climbing, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.
