What We’re Looking For

The Multimedia Production Specialist is an integral member of the internal agency’s multimedia team as our chief cinematographer, videographer and photographer. Key responsibilities include developing video concepts and storyboards as well as shooting and editing projects. He or she will also be responsible for photographing products, events and employees, along with maintaining the online product catalog. This person should be comfortable with all aspects of multimedia production, including cinematography, lighting, audio work and editing (both video and photography). In addition to videography and photography skills, this person should have experience in live video switching and setting up live streaming equipment for webinars and in-room live switching.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute video projects from concept to delivery including ideation, conducting interviews, storyboarding, videography, editing, audio work, color correction and final delivery

• Shoot and edit photography for the needs of the organization across a range of styles and subjects

• Produce and maintain product photography for the online product catalog

• Live switching for webinars and live events

• Assist with managing the life cycle of live and recorded digital media content

• Provide media support for internal events and non-profit activities

• Maintain a video-on-demand library of recorded content using best practices of video authoring, streaming and network quality of service standards

• Support AV efforts in any related special projects as required

• Assist in Digital Asset Management for various pieces of content from finished products to raw and stock content

• Collaborate effectively with our internal creative agency, including the creative director, copywriters, graphic designers, social media specialists, web designers/developers and fellow multimedia team members

• Requires travel 20% of time in/around the Houston area, within the state of Texas and countrywide

• Overtime is expected, including nights and weekends when necessary

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Radio-Television-Film or similar technical program

• Four years of experience in Video Production and Photography

• Proficiency with various editing/compression software programs, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Premier Pro, Lightroom, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition)

• Proficiency with DSLR cameras, lighting and audio recording equipment

• Proficiency and versatility in studio lighting and photography including product, event, and portrait styles

• Ability to use and troubleshoot personal computers along with entry level understanding of computer networking and the Internet

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Prior exposure to the operation and maintenance of audio-visual systems

• Certified Technology Specialist designation is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms

• Moving about on foot to accomplish task, particularly for long distances

• Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time

• Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion

• Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving object horizontally from position to position

• Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner

• Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects
