Our mission at Calvary Day School is to provide a Christ-centered educational experience for grades Pre-K - 12 through the development of the total student- spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

As the largest Christian school in Savannah, our mission focus is vital as a leader in our community. Like Christ, we seek to grow in wisdom (Luke 2:52) as we partner with families daily. We deliver exceptional academic offerings while fostering relationships in small groups, chapel, small classes, student services, and grade-level advisement. We seek to use co-curricular programming to help teach life and leadership skills in athletics, fine arts, and the many clubs and activities we offer.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Actively integrate faith and learning in the classroom consistently seizing on learning opportunities and "teaching moments."

Demonstrates the ability to utilize one pedagogy with the knowledge to introduce others to enhance the learning experience based on student abilities and subject matter.

Builds strong relationships across all constituencies and is cited by parents, students, and co-workers for effectiveness and willingness to mentor others and be mentored.

Manages the classroom beyond minimum performance standards with a focus on going beyond the basics and seeking new ways to improve the classroom experience.

Demonstrates mastery of subject matter and offers advice and guidance on how to improve curriculum.

Actively participate in multiple school functions and willing to serve as a leader embodying Calvary Day School values.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, this individual must be highly relational and able to perform each essential duty with excellence.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university required and 2-4 years experience desired.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, parents, faculty, staff, and administrators.

Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the schools' policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance in a timely manner; rewarding and disciplining students; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ensures that the organization/club fulfills the purpose of its existence.
