This team assists government and public sectors in transitioning to Azure cloud environments while maintaining stringent security and compliance standards. This role provides the opportunity to work with lifelong learners interested in Azure and other platforms, and to contribute to product designs.Role
The Microsoft Cloud for Sovereignty team is a globally distributed team aiming to bring the power of the Microsoft Public Cloud to the unique challenges of public sector workloads that must adhere to government compliance & security requirements.We are looking for a Senior UX designer to join us on the journey of delivering the building blocks for digitally transforming sovereign workloads across the world.This role will consist of: 10% meetings, 75% hands-on design work, 15% design meetings.What you will do
Deliver thorough, actionable, accessible, and intuitive designs for a complex and regulated space.Produce design visualizations such as storyboards, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and vision videos.Create, assess, and validate design solutions based on user research input, user goals, business requirements, and technical feasibility.Work closely with content designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers.Support Engineering with design implementation and participate in product testing.Scope and estimate efforts accurately and prioritize tasks independently.Identify new opportunities and generate innovative ideas to improve our products and processes.What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or equivalent professional experience.7+ years of experience designing end-to-end enterprise scale cloud software or services.Proficiency in modern component-based design tools such as Figma and the Adobe Creative suite.Outstanding storytelling ability to generate empathy through written and verbal communication.Even better
3+ years of experience designing cloud services on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.1+ years of experience designing solutions that use Generative AI or Large Language Models.What we want to see
