Hybrid 02 (On Campus 2 days/Week)Summary:The Director of Development, Annual Giving-Direct Marketing is responsible for the development and management of annual fund direct marketing campaigns which include mailings; a robust year-round student calling program; digital campaigns, including our annual day of giving; and social media appeals. This includes developing a marketing calendar, budget, and goals for the year, and assists with special appeals outside the scope of the annual funds.Organizational Characteristics:This position reports to the Senior Director of Development, Annual Giving. Reporting directly to this position are two full-time staff: Assistant Director, Annual Giving – Phonathon Operations and Assistant Director, Annual Giving.Essential Functions:Supervision: The Director of Development, Annual Giving-Direct Marketing will oversee the Assistant Directors of Direct Marketing and Phonathon Operations with a focus on measuring results against goals, managing performance, and developing the Assistant Directors’ professional skills.The Director of Development will act as a liaison with schools, units, and other teams wishing to raise funds outside of formal annual giving efforts, offering guidance and support in message, timing, and implementation.The Director will work with schools and units to educate them on all available services provided by annual giving to assist with incorporating fundraising into their activities, including the GiveCampus crowdfunding and peer-to-peer fundraising platform, event signage, QR codes, web links, texting, and student engagement officers.The Director will be responsible for reporting on results to divisional leadership.Other duties may be assigned by the Senior Director to enhance the mission and goals of University Advancement.Salary Range:

$86,000 – $96,000 annually, commensurate with experience.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in annual giving at an institution of higher education or non-profit organization.MS Office proficiency.Preferred Education and Experience:Clear, concise reporting and writing style; detail-oriented.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact.Management experience preferred.Strong and effective communication skills.Additional Eligibility Qualifications:Ability to interact with people of all constituent groups on a one-on-one basis.
