Our Philadelphia, PA office is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead new large Global and National Corporate projects. The ideal candidate will be an experienced presenter, great at client engagement and be very proficient on Revit and Enscape. This position is part of CBRE’s Design Collective- a high energy team that has high design standards and collaborates well.

About the role

The Interior Design Lead will provide leadership within a design team in a self‐directed manner in multiple aspects of the design process including but not limited to the design & documentation of all phases, the preparation of materials, and construction administration activities within established budgets, schedules, and programmatic requirements. The Project Designer will lead aspects of or entire projects (depending on Scope of project) and liaise directly with clientele and consultants.

What you’ll do

Leads project team through design and delivery process, including comprehension of scope deliverables and partners with project management and technical leads on a variety of projects

Lead client, contractor, and consultant coordination

Manage workflow and production of deliverables

Lead programming, space planning, and design activities

Research, recommend and select appropriate finishes, fixtures, and furniture

Clearly communicate design concepts and conduct client presentations in a variety of formats

Utilize BIM technology in development of 3-dimensional models, documentation, and coordination

Prepare and or/coordinate project design documentation

Lead construction document coordination, review and quality assurance including coordination with consultants, contractors, and other trades

Participate in construction administration, including review of RFIs, submittals, and site visits to ensure accuracy

Prepare workflow for junior team members and identify development opportunities

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 11 yrs years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification

Design experience with medium to large architectural firms

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, Enscaoe and Revit products.

Preferred experience with InDesign, Miro, Mural, and Menti

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.

Ability to effectively present information.

Able to mentor and give clear design direction to Designers I-III

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to tackle problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
