About the Role

Ready to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply.Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in high end residential design, working knowledge of drafting, space planning, and vendor relations. The Junior Interior Designer will be collaborating in all phases of design from concept through installation and will be working alongside the design team. Applicants must reside in or near our San Francisco office and be able to reliably commute to the office Monday-Friday. The studio works a 9/80 schedule.Responsibilities:Design:Participate and support design team in all phases of multiple design projects from design development, through construction management and installationAssist with sourcing of furniture, fabrics, fixtures, and finishes in line with client needs, the Senior Designer’s/Principal’s vision and project budgetDevelop furniture, fabric, and material studies for in house designers and principalEnter specifications in Design Manager programPrepare presentation materials and assist in presenting designs to clients and other consultantsProvide input and help manage scope, scheduling, and budget requirements of each projectPrepare and maintain supporting documents such as finish schedules, specifications, furnishing budgets, product/room matrices, and shop drawingsParticipate in weekly design/project reviews with design teamSome travel to and from job sites (~25%); this may sometimes require out-of-state travelAdministration / Project Management:Organize and manage all in studio sample libraries and documentsCoordinate all incoming and outgoing samples with multiple showrooms and vendorsRequest estimates from vendors based on detailed client selections and designer specificationsGenerate purchasing documents for reviewAssist with gathering of quotes; prepare proposals and review for accuracy; prepare proposal packages for submission to clientsAs needed, attend meetings with clients, architects, contractors and vendors; help with scheduling and organization of installations; relay relevant information to design teamDevelop long-term relationships with clients, design showrooms and vendorsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in architecture, interior design or related field2-4 years experience working in a professional interior design practice, concentration in high-end residential [required]Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Revit, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, and Design Manager.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitaskStrong verbal, written, and graphic communication skillsOutstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsResourceful, self-motivated, enthusiastic team playerBenefits:From $60,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with experienceOur team works a 9/80 scheduleHealth, Dental and Vision insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceAbout Nicholas Vincent DesignNicholas Vincent, Inc. is a boutique high-end residential interior design studio in San Francisco.
