As our
User Experience Developer , you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing digital solutions that support the user experience strategy. This person should be a passionate UX professional with an eye for creating superior user experiences and translating them into enterprise level digital applications. This role requires some on-site work in Omaha, NE weekly.Detailed Description
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
Work with UX and Product Management to ensure the defined user experience of the project is translated into a usable and high-performing application
Develop fully functional front-end applications that integrate with back-end systems and middleware servicesWork with web development app/dev, security, infrastructure and networking teams to ensure that the sites function according to the documented specifications and follow the user experience visionMentor other UX team members on emerging technologies and development approachesArchitect, manage and document efficient development workflows for local and distributed resourcesAbide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading CompanyMaintain regular and predictable attendanceWork requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractorsMust be able to attend face to face meetings on short to little advance notice

Participates in architecture, strategy, planning, and department workflow meetingsPerforms other duties and projects as assigned
Here's what you need to join the fun:Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThorough knowledge of current web and user interface standardsFamiliarity with accessibility and Section 508 standardsKnowledge of the opportunities and limitations of web-based application development, while staying abreast of shifts in industry standards and customer expectationsStrong knowledge of JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, AJAX, HTML, CSS, DOM, XML and the capabilities of Web browsers across multiple platforms and technologiesExperience with the following: GIT, TypeScript, and Agile methodologiesKnowledge of mobile web capabilities and best practicesAbility to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external constituents.Extremely detail oriented, highly organized and focusedEducation
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, software development or related field required
ExperienceMinimum three years' experience as a web developer, JS developer, UX developer (or similar role)
