Undead Labs is looking for a

Senior Content Designer II

to join our State of Decay 3 team. We're seeking a passionate designer who can step in and provide strong leadership for our content design team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is great at giving clear direction and mentorship, is highly organized, and is a strong communicator.

We have office hubs in Seattle, WA and Champaign, IL. If you are currently located in one of these locations, or open to relocation, we'd love to hear from you!Core Responsibilities:

Guide the content design team's efforts on State of Decay 3Interpret and champion the content model as defined by the Creative Director and Group LeadCoordinate and drive the creation of missions in support of our narrative goalsOwn and streamline the mission & content design pipelinesCommunicate and track dependencies with Narrative, Art, & EngineeringPartner with UX design to consider holistic player experience and accessibility needs as it pertains to missions & content.Mentor and advise more junior team membersFoster an inclusive environment, centered on safety, engagement, collaboration, accountability, and community.Basic Qualifications:Deep experience working collaboratively with other disciplines to build content.Experience with Unreal Engine (Blueprints).Strong interpersonal communication & negotiation skills.Ability to write clear and succinct design documentation.Passionate about developing and following high-functioning development processes.Shipped at least one title, preferably a 3rd-person action or open world game, as a lead content designer.Preferred Qualifications:Experience implementing content in a systems driven, open world game.Deep understanding of the post-apocalyptic survival-fantasy genre.The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is

$129,610 - $180,000

per year.

The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role (except as noted below); the applicable base range will depend on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
