The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, also known as AACOM, was founded in 1898 to lend support and assistance to the nation's osteopathic medical schools and to serve as a unifying voice for osteopathic medical education. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Storytelling & Content Creation : Craft compelling narratives that highlight the strengths, challenges, and achievements of the osteopathic medical education community. Utilize a variety of formats and platforms, including reports, featured articles, blog posts, and multimedia content. Translate complex data into engaging, accessible stories for a broad audience.Strategic Analysis & Reporting : Conduct comprehensive data analysis on various aspects of osteopathic medical education and the broader healthcare landscape. Develop and manage at least one large annual writing project alongside several smaller, focused projects annually. Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within the osteopathic medical education community, providing actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.Visual Communication : Design and interpret data visualizations that enhance written content. Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure visuals align with AACOM's branding and messaging strategies. Develop and implement promotional strategies to highlight the value of osteopathic medicine and AACOM's role in advancing the profession.Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with key stakeholders within the osteopathic medical community, including leaders, educators, students, practitioners, and policymakers, to gather insights and perspectives that inform content creation. This may involve conducting interviews, facilitating focus groups, and attending relevant events.Qualifications

WHO WE NEED

Our ideal team member will have the following:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, data science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in journalism, communication, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing large-scale writing projects (portfolio of relevant work samples required).Strong writing and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to translate data and engage a variety of audiences.Exceptional analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and visualization tools.Knowledge of osteopathic medical education and the healthcare industryExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interview and interact with stakeholders at all levels.Additional Information

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a full-time position with health, dental, vacation and 403(b) benefits. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - 110,000 annually.
