Responsibilities

As the VP, Corporate Communications, you will work closely with our senior leadership (reporting to the CEO and President) to effectively represent our corporate brand, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure consistent messaging across the firm. You will be chiefly responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of our public and internal image and will contribute to the messaging and branding of Related Ross across its diverse portfolio.

We'll trust you to:Serve as the strategic communications advisor to senior leadership and as the chief spokesperson for the company across its multiple lines of businessEngage in hands-on media relations with top tier reporters and editors across business and consumer press with unquestioned integrityAssist and work alongside marketing team to create a national campaign for Related Ross and the future of Palm Beach CountyOversee internal and external communications with business leaders, marketing, external partners, and support agenciesOversee, plan, write, and edit content for a variety of communications channels, including leadership presentations, speeches, press releases, video, and other creative assetsLead content creation across our digital channels (including website and corporate social platforms)Manage, mitigate and anticipate complex public affairs issuesProtect and enhance the reputation of the firm, both externally and among employeesCreate and maintain the corporate communications budget and annual spendCollaborate on and help lead internal events and corporate philanthropic and CSR initiativesQualifications

You'll need to have:

Proven experience (15+ years) in PR, corporate communications, or media relationsExperience with political environment and with press covering politics and government issues is highly desiredProficiency in managing relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencersExtensive experience in media relations and issues management, including experience handling reputational crises quickly and professionallyExecutive presence to work with the C-suite; strong ability to collaborate with senior leadership, internal and external partners across multiple teams and disciplinesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to various audiences in relatable termsExceptional leadership capabilities and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a highly collaborative teamDemonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies, digital marketing and social media, and content development strategies, with experience leveraging these platforms for public relations purposesStrong strategic thinking and planning abilities with proven ability to manage complex situations, change and ambiguity with easeBachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related fieldBenefits:
