Job Description

Responsible for Graphic Design and Production Typesetting in the Printing Services Department. Works with customers to create their vision and convey their specific message. Provides production design; typesetting; and creative design services to customers, including inserting text into pre-designed forms and templates. Performs typesetting for University forms, envelopes, note cards, and banners. Creates production design templates for customers. Creates creative design logos, booklets, and brochures, video, and web, that integrate across all museum departments, including exhibits, public relations and marketing, visitor services, education and community outreach, and collections and research. This position is in the Exhibits Department and will entail occasional duties assisting in the installation/de-installation and maintenance of permanent and temporary exhibits. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Art, Fine Arts, Marketing or a related field24 or more months of experience in graphic designWorking Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, MS OfficeAnimation skillsVideo editing skills (Adobe Premier)Experience with museums, cultural organizations, or other non-profitsWilling to learn new graphic skills as the needs arise
