A bonus every quarter you go over 400 hours...stay on a over 1600 hour pace to make a bonus payable every quarter!A prestigious and well-established national law firm headquartered in Tucker, GA, seeks a dynamic and driven Creditor's Rights & Bankruptcy Attorney.

You will play a crucial role in representing our clients in bankruptcy proceedings and ensuring their rights as creditors are protected. You will work closely with a team of legal professionals and the named partners to handle a diverse caseload, providing comprehensive legal counsel and representation.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Member in good standing with the Georgia Bar

Minimum of 5 years of experience in bankruptcy and creditors rights law.

Strong understanding of bankruptcy law, including Chapters 7, 11, and 13.

Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills (writing sample required).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong negotiation and litigation skills.

Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Client-focused mindset with a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes

No Hybrid, in office required

Responsibilities

Bankruptcy Litigation:

Representing creditors in bankruptcy cases, including filing proofs of claim, attending creditor meetings, and advocating for our clients' interests.

Legal Research:

Conducting legal research and analysis to provide sound legal advice to clients and colleagues.

Client Counseling:

Advising clients on bankruptcy-related matters, including debt collection, asset recovery, and creditor rights.

Document Preparation:

Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.

Negotiation:

Engaging in negotiations with opposing counsel, debtors, and bankruptcy trustees to reach favorable settlements.

Court Appearances:

Appearing in court on behalf of clients, representing them in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

Case Management:

Effectively managing a caseload and ensuring all deadlines and court requirements are met.

Examples of matters include:

Out-of-court debt restructuring and workouts;

Seeking receiverships over commercial real estate and businesses;

Dealing with problem real estate and asset-based commercial loans and leases;

Negotiating and objection to confirmation plans;

Representation of, or participating in, creditor committees;

Issues involving unexpired leases and other executory contracts;

Requesting modification of stays;

Defending mortgage lenders, both first and second position liens; and

Fraudulent conveyance and preferential litigation
