The Audience & Philanthropic Development Manager is a part-time,

contract

position responsible for the Apollo Chorus of Chicago’s fundraising, business development, public relations, marketing, and community engagement, subject to the approval of the Board. The Audience & Philanthropic Development Manager will serve as a key representative for the organization with existing and prospective donors, external collaborators, and other arts and community organizations. The time expectations will vary throughout our concert season, but will average 50-60 hours per month.Compensation: $3,000 per month (1099), August through June ($33,000 per year); mostly remote, but attendance at public Chorus events and performances, and occasional rehearsals, is expected.Responsibilities include:



Build and oversee a contributed revenue program that generates support from government, foundation, corporate, estate, and individual donors, including but not limited to donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship;●

Identify and develop new relationships that expand the organization’s service and fulfillment of its mission for the greatest number of stakeholders, communities, partners, and audiences;●

Maintain a donor database, including data entry, gift processing , acknowledgment generation, and reporting;●

Drive revenue by increasing ticket sales and audience reach;●

Manage the Chorus’s marketing/public relations strategy and calendar, in coordination with the marketing committee;●

Identify, cultivate, solicit, and negotiate special performance opportunities, as approved by the Board;●

Manage existing external relationships, including Chorus alumni;●

Represent the organization publicly at meetings and events, including all public performances.Qualifications:



Experience in donor management and fundraising within a non-profit setting;●

Background in grant writing, with a proven track record of successful grant applications;●

Knowledge of the arts and culture sector in the greater Chicago area;●

Proficiency and familiarity with donor management software (NeonOne preferred) and bestpractices;●

Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills;●

Ability to work independently and collaboratively; and● Proven track record in building a successful marketing or public-relations campaign.
