Director, Marketing Thought Leader Liaison

Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Marketing & Thought Leadership, the Director, Marketing Thought Leader Liaison, is accountable for 1) developing industry thought leaders and influencers, 2) coordinating advocacy-related activities and engagements, 3) coordinating User Groups, 4) supporting regulatory and clinical strategy.

The Director, Marketing Thought Leader Liaison is a key member of the marketing team, responsible for developing and maintaining excellence in medication management activities, building best-in class capabilities and leading activities that are necessary to cultivate active User

This Director will work with key Pharmacy & Nursing Leaders, Health Informatics Leaders and Pharmacy Technician champions to drive consistency and excellence in the utilization of Omnicell services and technology. This role will require detailed technical/clinical knowledge of Omnicell services and solid knowledge of the medication management marketplace.

In addition, this individual will provide support for congresses, medication management and scientific advisory boards, and scientific communications and publication components reflecting the overall medication management strategic imperatives.

The person in this role will be responsible for working with Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Management teams, Field Sales Leadership, and the company’s public relations firm, to support key initiatives focused on thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Develop medication management KOLs to create a successful reference network for clinical and technical validation.

Direct and execute on User Group strategy, facilitate ongoing community and feedback loop. Create opportunities to hightlight Best Practices resulting from User Group forums.

Work very closely with all of Marketing, Sales, and other functions to develop new customer support collateral, specifically case studies, whitepapers and clinical “tips and tricks” material, to meet our adoption goals.

Work closely with Customer Success and Marketing to implement clinical & publication strategy that will support Omnicell marketing goals.

Help drive thought leadership initiatives that leverage the output, knowledge, and experience of industry thought leaders including, but not limited to, members of the Autonomous Pharmacy Advisory Board.

Help develop and implement promotional programs based on peer-to-peer interaction for clinical and technical validation.

Partner closely with the Senior Director, Clinical Marketing & Thougth Leadership to align on objectives and priorities to enhance thought leadership efforts and to build referenceability that cultivates new advocacy & PR opportunities.

Key Skills Required:

Executive presence, high emotional intelligence and self-starter.

Knowledge of KOLs and influencers (and interaction with), in the medication management field

Academic or Pharmaceutical experience with a history of senior roles related to publications, case studies, clinical trials, and the like.

Combination of detail orientation and strategic perspective

Exceptional people and project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, assign, delegate, coordinate and/or monitor the work of multiple stakeholders across departments, as well as industry thought leaders

Strong interpersonal, team building, and communication skills (writing, editing, public speaking, PowerPoint)

Nimble and creative skills to enable performance in a highly fast-paced environment

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

12 years of healthcare industry or healthcare delivery experience

7 years of experience engaging with Healthcare Leadership

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree (preferably, MBA or MHA)

15 years of healthcare industry experience

5 years of experience interacting with senior-level individuals at customer accounts

7 years of experience analyzing clinical literature and scientific evidence

3 years of experience in content development for thought leadership initiatives
