As the Partner Lead, you will be responsible for managing key marketing partner relationships, serving as the point of contact for up to 1-2 marketing pods and/or day to day lead on 3-4 project workstreams.The Partner Lead’s primary role is to drive the dynamic between marketing and creative teams. The Partner Lead is responsible for keeping both marketing and creative teams accountable through collaboration, proactive planning, efficient communication between creative teams and marketing teams, and optimize how the projects run to meet partner and project needs.Responsibilities:Own and nurture relationships with key marketing partners. Acting as the main liaison and point of contact for up to 1-2 marketing pods / 3-4 projects within the organization. Each pod consists of Marketing leads (Drivers) that will be the primary partners throughout project workflows. Partner Leads are expected to bring Marketing partners along throughout a project workflow from briefing through execution, guiding and informing the creative process as needed to make the project successful.Foster a collaborative, strategic, diplomatic, and highly organized work approach to facilitate successful partnerships and drive results.Bring process stewardship, shepherding a project’s workflow in partnership with project management and production leads.Enabling a collaborative dynamic between the disciplines, developing effective timelines that meet project needs.Ensure the core marketing objectives stay top of mind throughout the project workflow. Partner Leads will also collaborate with creative strategy to develop comprehensive creative briefs, ensuring there is collective alignment on the creative opportunity at hand.Deliver compelling presentations and confidently represent the creative team in meetings with partners.What is takes to catch our eye:Proven experience (5+ years) as an Account Manager, Account Supervisor, or Brand Manager in an agency or in-house creative environment.Strong understanding of advertising and marketing principles, with a track record of managing successful client/cross-functional relationships.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Creative mindset with the ability to provide constructive feedback and guide the creative development process.Strong presentation skills with the ability to confidently present ideas and solutions to clients.Willingness to travel as needed for company offsites and production.Come change how the world works.At Upwork, you’ll shape talent solutions for how the world works today.
