THE OPPORTUNITY

It sounds like a job with a long title and tons of responsibility. And it is.

We're looking for someone special. Someone who is creative enough to handle our social media and digital marketing efforts while also ramping up our game entertainment and game atmosphere. At the same time, this person has to be detail oriented enough to work hand in hand with our biggest and best clients and activate their special events.

The person will also work hand-in-hand with our company's Director of Marketing on lead generation and digital ad strategy and content creation. We sold nearly 600 5-game plans in 2024 and want to increase that by 20% in 2025 and our Manager of Digital Marketing will play a critical role.

THE DETAILS AND SKILLS NEEDEDYou'll be working with a marketing team with more than 10 years of experience in ticket marketing and a team president who has 11 years in team sports.Oversee all digital marketing efforts and social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and others responsible for creation and posting of content.Lead game entertainment efforts including game scripts, music, mascot, and game entertainment staff.Responsible for corporate partnership account activation and implementation of partnership package elements including signage design, special events, promotions, and employee programs.Qualifications

You gotta be creative. Knowledge and competency in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Premier Pro is essential for content creation. We'll be asking for a portfolio so if you don't have one, don't applyCreative mindset for game entertainment skit development for baseball. Past experience in game entertainment preferred. We ask for forgiveness instead of permission.Knowledge of all social media platforms, digital ads, website management, and brand development.1-3 years of experience in digital media marketing and game entertainment. If you've been an intern somewhere, that counts.A bachelor's degree in marketing, Mass Communications, Graphic Design, Sports Marketing or other related degrees. WHY IS THIS JOB COOL?

THE BRAND

The Flamingos are one of the fastest growing brands in all of sports. The team name and logo were launched at the end of the 2021 season and we are the only team in the country in any sport at any level with pink as our primary color, which has led to merchandise sales throughout the entire United States and all around the world. Within two weeks of launch, the team sold merchandise in all 50 states and 9 countries. Even today, nearly 90% of the team's merchandise sales come from outside of the state of South Carolina.

THE STADIUM

The Flamingos also opened a brand-new 1,500 seat stadium in May 2022, Carolina Bank Field which is the centerpiece of a brand-new sports complex in Florence, surrounded by five other baseball fields and a world class track facility. The team controls the facility 365 days of the year and works hand-in-hand with the city of Florence to bring concerts, baseball tournaments and special events to the stadium. THE LEAGUE

The Coastal Plain League is made up of 14 teams in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The rosters are made up of mainly Division I and II college players looking to get drafted by Major League Baseball teams. Consider the CPL the same age/talent level as Single A baseball or Rookie League baseball. In its' 28-year history, the league has had nearly 1500 players drafted and more than 100 make it to the Major Leagues including future Hall of Famers Justin Verlander and Russell Wilson (NFL) and other Major League stars like Kevin Youkilis and Ryan Zimmerman. We play about 30 home games from beginning of June through beginning of August. Even better, we rarely have back-to-back games and never have a home stand like in Minor League baseball.

The Flamingos, Bacon and Savannah Bananas are the top teams in the Coastal Plain League in attendance, game experience and brand visibility and we've built an internal rivalry amongst each other to continue to grow, develop and improve.

THE ATTENDANCE

In our last season at Carolina Bank Field, we sold out 15 of our 27 home games. We've increased ticket revenue more than 20% each season since team president, Mitchell Lister has took over the team. There is plenty of room to grow in plan sales, group ticket sales, and premium sales.

HOW MUCH?

If you've read this far, let's get to the important stuff.

The base salary is in the $27k-$33k range based on your experience. Florence is a pretty inexpensive place to live so that salary allows you to live pretty well and take weekend trips to Myrtle Beach which is only an hour away. Your big upside is on bonuses for fan survey grading on game entertainment and sponsorship revenue bonuses.
