The AWS Global Startup Marketing team is seeking an experienced Sr Marketing Manager to lead and execute our go-to-market strategy for AWS Startup tentpole initiatives. In this critical role, you'll orchestrate high-impact multichannel campaign launches and events that elevate AWS's position in the global startup ecosystem and drive acquisition of program sign-ups.

You'll own the global launch calendar, seamlessly integrating Startup marketing moments into the broader AWS marketing roadmap. This requires adept navigation of cross-segment and cross-business unit dynamics, with a particular focus on our generative AI marketing initiatives. Your expertise in driving marketing promotions for tentpole events will be crucial in exceeding signup targets.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and self-starter, with a proven track record of successful global-scale launch programs and the ability to galvanize cross-functional teams. You'll thrive in our dynamic environment, leveraging your expertise across various marketing channels including email, blogs, digital media and advertising, social media, and content marketing.

Success in this role requires a "think big" mentality coupled with a get-it-done attitude. You must be able to navigate complex, evolving, and ambiguous environments while persistently pursuing bar-raising launch campaigns that resonate with the startup ecosystem.

Strong preference for Seattle, WA, as the location for the role. Relocation provided.

Key job responsibilities

Orchestrate high-impact multichannel marketing campaigns that elevate AWS's position in the global startup ecosystem and promotions for tentpole initiatives to meet and exceed program signups for initiatives such as AWS GenAI Lofts, AWS GenAI Accelerator, AWS Impact Accelerator.

Write compelling and eye-catching messaging for blogs, website copy, sales collateral, email campaigns, social media posts, multimedia assets, and similar, that drives impressions, clicks, and resonates with the startup ecosystem.

Own and manage the global launch calendar, integrating Startup marketing moments into the broader AWS marketing roadmap, with a high focus on generative AI marketing initiatives.

Collaborate with and integrate AWS executives into Startup campaigns with talking points, social postings, and keynote presentations.

Execute live launch events with operational and logistical excellence.

Manage relationships with paid media partners, streaming platforms, digital communities, internal media, influencers, and podcast partners.

Monitor and analyze campaign performance using data analytics and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns for maximum impact and ROI.

Basic Qualifications

6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

Experience communicating results to senior leadership

Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

Experience in writing compelling and eye-catching messaging for blogs, website copy, sales collateral, email campaigns, social media posts, multimedia assets, and similar, that drives impressions, clicks, and resonates with the startup ecosystem.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights

Experience with Salesforce and Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
