We are seeking a Design Director to aid in the development and delivery of creative projects on behalf of our clients.

Working into Sport & Entertainment's Executive Creative Director, this individual will lead design and visual development across all creative projects, from pitch through to execution.

This will include but is not limited to deck development, creating campaign identities, hero asset development, sell-in comps, and much more, across both external and internal initiatives. Lastly, the Design Director will be responsible for overseeing design portion of studio itself, managing the briefing process, billing, and other managerial duties.

New York City-based, with occasional travel for client pitching, shoots and campaign production.

You could be great if you...

... are a conceptual thinker who uses art direction and design as your medium. This is about design as both science and art. Yes, we are looking for someone who can bring concepts to life visually, holistically, starting with the raw concept and molding the idea's visual identity so that it is creatively unique, suits the concept's narrative, and responds to strategic prompts captured in the brief.

... possess an encyclopaedic knowledge of visual and cultural references to help inspire thinking and communicate concepts. You must also be well- versed on industry-leading or innovating creators of past and present - both as a means to inspire creative references and as potential collaborative partners on campaigns. As a student of culture, you're always building on this knowledge base, mining the relevant spaces for references.

... are unafraid to design for assets for most, if not all mediums. Assets may include, but are not limited to, graphic assets, photoshoots, posters, film credits, print / zines, digital layouts / lookbooks, microsites, experiential elements, invites, presentations, social content, and much more. Every campaign is different here as we strive to stay ahead of the creative curve. We welcome new challenges - this should excite you as much as it does us!

... have the managerial experience to run the design section of the creative studio from a business standpoint, as well as oversee junior designers and freelancers as needed.

... above all, you must be an exceptional and conceptual designer, capable of elevating existing concepts through powerful and unique typography and graphic design, while also leveraging your knowledge of design and art direction to generate new ones.

WHAT YOU BRING (Experience and Skills)
  • Previous experience in design and art direction in a similar business
  • Design-relevant college degree is preferred
  • Expertise in all relevant design software (Adobe Suite)
  • Other creative / software experience is welcome, such film / photo editing, animation, web development, UX / UI, etc.

WHAT YOU GET

  • Salary range is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
