Summary:

The Senior Global Marketing Manager (SGMM) is the subject matter expert for their product, demonstrating advanced understanding of the orthopedics market segment and competition with substantial knowledge in medical device and biologic tissue marketing. The SGMM demonstrates a big picture business orientation exhibiting strategic thinking with an action bias. The SGMM has extensive experience managing key opinion leaders in the spine/orthopedic market.

This person will lead and develop advanced marketing strategies, market development activities, and product management initiatives, at the direction of Company and Marketing leadership. The SGMM will lead development of product strategies, positioning, competitive assessments, pricing, promotion, and tactical plans to achieve corporate revenue goals. They will provide leadership for upstream and downstream marketing, including new product launches and product line extensions. The SGMM works in a matrix-environment, leading global development, and implementation of tactical programs in partnership with research and development, clinical affairs, marketing communications and sales management. The SGMM is accountable for sustained product revenue and is adept at managing budgets for their respective product groups.

This position will require travel with customers and field sales channels to better understand market/customer drivers to ensure the successful growth and profitability of the business. The SGMM acts as a lead and champion for customer targets/ key opinion leaders, demonstrating integrity and mission - based actions in all they do while acting with a sense of urgency. This position is action-biased, performance driven, detail oriented and delivers results on commitments. The SGMM demonstrates excellent internal and external communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cartilage restoration therapies.

Hybrid environment: can live in or around the Denver metro area (3 days in the office, 2 days at home).

Remote work option: requirement to be at headquarters at least once every six weeks for a full week.

Relocation assistance is also available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are performed under general direction:

Lead creation and execution of upstream and downstream marketing plans, including development of product/marketing strategies, to maximize current and new products including assessment of profitability and viability of assigned segment/products.

Develop short and long-range business plans for specified segments/product areas to assure effective product placement relative to market opportunity.

Provide leadership to sales and marketing on development and execution of strategies, tactical plans, pricing strategies, launch plans, and marketing campaigns to meet corporate revenue goals.

Through strong collaboration, lead the development of marketing communication plans including promotions, public relations, trade shows and product strategy implementation to achieve marketing objectives.

Develop and communicate comprehensive post-product launch and marketing campaign analysis.

Participate in team-based approach to drive the success of the segment portfolio, including partnering with sales to collaborate with target key accounts to increase use of key AlloSource products.

Provide leadership for sales and customer training and “train the trainer” programs, working with sales channels and key opinion leaders.

Drive brand equity and evaluate brand performance; make recommendations for changes and improvements.

Operate as the subject matter expert, in assigned segments, demonstrating high ethical and business acumen.

Provide full ownership for internal product technical needs and product specifications.

Key internal conduit for ongoing competitive intelligence.

Conduct advanced primary and secondary market research and incorporate in business planning to identify potential new business, product development and/or product enhancement opportunities.

Conduct “voice of customer” activities to drive customer and patient centric segment portfolio.

Work closely with strategic partners to lead OEM/private label marketing activities.

Lead development of key opinion leaders, internally and nationally.

Work with Finance, Donor Planning, Sales, and Operations to lead/participate in product forecasting activities that ensure adequate product supply and customer satisfaction.

Full ownership of segment budget.

Travel as needed to meet business demands (nationally and internationally), – up to 40%.

Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.

May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

10 + years’ experience within medical device/durable medical equipment, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or medical product line marketing

6+ years’ experience in medical marketing or sale

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to communicate in English proficiently (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)

Preferred Experience:

Master’s degree

2+ years’ experience in orthopedic technologies

Experience working in a clinical/operating room environment

Experience working within medical and/or hospital field sales/marketing
