Description

The AWS Global Events team is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Manager to own workstreams for marquee AWS programs like re:Invent and re:Inforce. This role will act as a planning partner for high-priority programs, designing and building tools to enable stakeholder groups' success in booking ancillary or custom space within these events. You will manage custom event-within-an-event programs and systems for ancillary space booking at re:Invent and re:Inforce.

Key job responsibilities

End-to-end management of complex events, campaigns, logistics, branding, and reporting

Optimize based on marketing effectiveness, audits, measurement, surfacing insights to influence strategy

Clear blockers, escalate appropriately, make trade-offs between time, quality, and resources

Communicate clearly and concisely through narratives, briefs, plans, and presentations

Manage meetings effectively, ensuring the right stakeholders are involved

Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and deliver enablement programs across diverse roles

Identify and develop scalable team processes for continuous improvement

Partner with stakeholders to define strategy, success metrics, requirements for event activities

Ensure stakeholder integration and compliance with event processes

Support stakeholder teams onsite at site visits and events

Develop and execute internal/external marketing plans for processes and plans

Work with agency partners and technology teams for end-to-end program planning

Conduct post-event evaluations to measure successes and impact customer/business outcomes

Manage budgets up to $2MM

A day in the life

In this role, the Event Marketing Manager will turn strategic vision for programs into reality through project management and continuous optimization - testing, measuring, evolving initiatives while enhancing the program and corresponding campaigns to elevate the overall programs. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, participants, and cross-functional teams responsible to deliver on cross program goals. Your exceptional execution skills will ensure the delivery of projected program results, and your creativity and driven mindset will enable the delivery of high-quality, customer-facing events

About the team

This role will join the AWS Global Integrated Marketing Programs team supporting AWS Event Operations. The AWS Event Operations team develops and executes strategies across event logistics, systems, and business processes to create seamless and accessible experiences for all attendees. Our data-driven approach ensures we deliver what customers want, not what we think they want. As connectors across workstreams and teams, we bridge gaps to align strategy and operational efficiencies. With a global mindset, we create scalable processes that can be adapted for programs worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
