The Senior Social Media Specialist will serve as a driving member of Stifel’s social media team. This role will play a key part in the defining, management, and execution of our corporate social media presence. The Senior Social Media Specialist will also oversee the firm’s social media program for our 2,000+ financial advisors as well as other associates across the firm.The ideal candidate for this role is a driven and creative marketer with strong leadership skills that thrives in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities

Keep current with regulatory requirements and firm policies to determine how they impact the social media space for various business units (advisors, institutional, home office, etc.). Work in conjunction with the compliance team to create and adjust Stifel’s social media policies accordingly.Maintain and build new social media vendor relationships. Ensure existing relationships meet their contractual obligations and meet the firm’s requirements and expectations. For new social media vendor relationships, investigate the benefit the relationship could bring to the firm.Ensure that the strategic direction of Stifel’s corporate social media presence and programs always align with both the firm’s and department’s goals.Monitor various social media channels for mentions of Stifel. Investigate and escalate internally, when necessary, any potential complaints or risks to the firm’s reputation.Work cross-functionally with other members of the Marketing department and associates across the firm to generate content for social media that aligns with Stifel’s brand and voice.Develop and maintain training materials and tools for social media users across the firm. This could include, but is not limited to, preparing written tutorials, recording training sessions, or providing in-person or virtual training to an individual or group.Lead the Social Media team and the execution of related initiatives, while motivating team members to complete projects and reach goals.Other projects as assigned and needed by department for firm leadership.Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of social media marketing principles and practices, prior experience with financial services a plus.Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternate solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems, while offering guidance consistent with company policy and industry regulations.Uses logic and reasoning to identify complex problems, review related information, and develop options and implement solutions.Ability to gain knowledge of and understand the rules and regulations governing advertising in the securities industry.Education & Experience

Minimum Required: B.S. or B.A. in Marketing, Communications, or a related field or a combination of education and experience.Minimum Required: 7+ years’ experience in social media or related field.Systems & Technology

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.Experience with Facebook Business Pages, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Company Pages, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Instagram, X, and other social media platforms.Experience with Social Patrol, Seismic/LiveSocial, Hootsuite, and other social media content and analytics platforms.About Stifel Stifel is a more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
