Manager of Communications and Engagement

The Missouri Hospital Association is seeking a manager of communications and engagement to serve as the primary communications representative for the Hospital Industry Data Institute coordinating with MHA Communications' leadership to develop and execute effective marketing and communication strategies to accomplish HIDI business goals and enhance customer outreach and engagement. The primary role of this position is to create and curate relevant content for use in a variety of media, including websites, publications, email outreach and social media. The position will develop strategies to disseminate targeted messaging to a wide variety of stakeholders and measure the impact of these strategies, while also understanding how content integrates throughout MHA's other affiliated entities and brands.A bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field that ensures excellent writing skills and knowledge of strategic brand development required. Two to five years of previous experience in communications or public relations demonstrating writing expertise required, with experience in health care preferred. Must be a strategic communicator with story-telling ability to plan and execute messages that convey company branding in conjunction with overall strategy. Experience in website management, social media management and the curation, creation and organization of content to effectively reach key audiences is required. Must be able to work in or learn available programs to create and manage content including WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and Email Marketing Software (currently Real Magnet). Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines, with outstanding time management and organization skills is required. Must have a working knowledge and ability to interpret Google Analytics, search engine optimization, email and social media analytics to measure and enhance engagement.MHA is an equal opportunity employer with a drug and smoke-free work environment.
