The Marketing Manager is responsible for seeking out new ideas, has an eye for what's next in the industry, and thrives on selling ideas to both internal and external teams.
Will be the champion of new categories for the company from concept to launch, utilizing our Stage Gate process to gain insight and buy-in along the way. Should be a self-starter but also comfortable collaborating with a cross functional team of engineers, designers and sales staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning:
Seek out new ideas and businesses for the company, including gathering ideas across the company and fostering a culture of innovationWork with Market Research team to uncover unmet consumer needs and translate those insights into winning conceptsEvaluate ideas through our category funnel to determine sales and financial fit with the organization and champion those ideas through launchProduct Management:
Work with design and engineering to develop product specificationsWork with finance team to ensure profitability goals for the product line are aligned with company metricsFully understand product line P&L and discuss adjustments to be made throughout the year to maintain both sales and profit goalsCollaboration:
Act as product and brand champion for assigned product lines, working with digital marketing, graphic design, and industrial design to maintain brand standards and update as neededWork cross functionally with customer marketing and sales teams to monitor sales, provide insights and action to constantly pursue improvement in assigned product line
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree3-5 years business or marketing experienceExperience working in a channel or product marketing roleExperience in Stage Gate and/or product innovation preferred but not required
